Wilson's New 13-inch Celestial Globe, with cartouche Wilson's New Thirteen Inch Celestial Globe. Containing the Positions of Nearly 1000 Stars, Clusters, Nebulae &c. Carefully Compil'd & Laid Down from the Latest & Most Approv'd Astronomical Tables Reduced to the Present Time. By C. Lancaster, Albany St., N.Y., 1837 , made up of twelve engraved hand-colored gores and two polar callottes laid to the ecliptic poles of plaster-covered sphere, showing stars to the ninth magnitude, clusters and nebulae, the constellations shaded and represented by mythical figures, creatures and scientific instrument,with Equinoctial and Solsitial colures, the Ecliptic Circle graduated in days of the calender month, labelled in Latin, and the Zodiacal calendar by sign, the Equinoctial Circle by minutes, hours (in Roman numerals) and degrees, in engraved brass meridian circle, on mahogany stand with four baluster-turned legs joined by stretchers, ht. 18 in., (missing sections and paper horizon ring). In 1835 Cyrus Lancaster, who had worked for James Wilson & Sons in Albany since 1826, published new editions of Wilson's 13-inch terrestrial and celestial globes under his own name.
