Globe with medallion text that reads " To the Rev.d Nevil Maskelyne D.D.F.R.S Astronomer Royal This New British Celestial Globe containing the positions of nearly 6000 stars clusters, Nebulae, Planetary Nebulae & Correctly computed and laid down for the year 1800; from the latest observations and discoveries by Dr Maskelyne, Dr.Herschel, the Rev'd Mr Wollfton is respectfully Dedicated by his most obedient h.ble servants, W.&J.M.Bardin". Library globe with brass metal meridian circle, horizon ring with further paper gore decoration on top of English style mahogany tripod stand with legs terminating on wheeled brass casters.
