Attributed to Charles Turner (British, 1773-1857) Portrait of the Artist Holding an Impression of His Print after Sir Thomas Lawrence's Sir Robert Peel Unsigned, identified on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 33 x 40 in. (83.8 x 101.6 cm), unframed. Condition: Cut down, lined, retouch, damage to tacking edge, craquelure with alligatoring. Turner reproduced numerous Lawrence portraits in engraving and mezzotint including the image of Peel which he executed in 1827.
