Brass Theodolite by Stanley, London, with 3 in. dia. brass dial marked with maker's name, cardinal points in block lettering, horizontal circle divided 0-360, silvered horizontal ring with two verniers and one magnifier, vertical arc with vernier and magnifier, spirit level mounted below the 16 in. removable telescope with rack focus and dust cap, ht. 13 in. Optics probably flawed, old lacquered surface.
