Herrold, listing his service record during the war, and his Model 1850 foot officers sword, with a brass hilt, shagreen grip, steel blade, and a shagreen-covered leather scabbard with brass fittings. Provenance: By descent to the consignor. Note: First Lieutenant John G. Herrold served during 1863 in the 172nd Pennsylvania Regiment.
