circa 1870, having an arched, central crest, flanked by turned finials, surmounting a run of turned spindles; the back having a round, caned panel within a square reserve with floral spandrels, over another spindle run; the seat is caned and the arms, supported by stout uprights; the front legs are turned and surmounted by floral blocks with square back legs. Height 46 x width 24 1/2 x depth 23 inches.
