Regency Anglo Indian-style Mahogany Desk, 19th century, rectangular top over two drawers flanked by six short drawers surmounting an arcade, projecting lower case with two short drawers over two doors, on tapered legs ending in spade feet, ht. 53, wd. 39 3/4, dp. 24 in. Estimate $1,000-2,000 Usage wear to top surface (scattered abrasions and water marks). Slightly lifting to veneer banding on either side, very slight warping to either side (still stable, only visible at eye level of front corners). Small minor chipped losses and some subsequent repairs of moldings along drawers and base of upper cabinet. Two cabinet drawers under writing surface with horizontal cracks to doors and cracks/ minor chipped losses to surround. Lacking 4 inch section of beaded molding to right side.
