A tintype image of Charlie Chaplin in his role as The Little Tramp along with Chaplin's brother Sidney. In a brass frame, mounted on a wood plaque with bevelled edges. Included is the original box that the tintype was presented. The slender woden box is covered with tooled leather and contains a hand-written inscription which reads: "Christmas Greetings to Charlie from Rollie, Dec 25th, 1938. Photo taken from Charlie's Production titled 'The Pilgrim' -Seated_ Charles and Brother Sidney" Presented to Chaplin from Rollie Totheroh, who worked as cinematographer on many of Chaplin's films, including the aforementioned The Pilgrim (Charles Chaplin Productions, 1923).
