Walnut Paneled and Part-ebonzied Kas Cupboard, probably Hudson River Valley, mid-18th century, the deeply molded removable cornice above a molded frieze and two cupboard doors with elaborately molded panels, with similarly paneled long drawer below, all on turned ball feet, (feet likely replacements, minor insect evidence), ht. 75, cornice wd. 73, case wd. 63 1/2, cornice dp. 26 1/2, case dp. 21 1/2 in. Estimate $2,000-3,000 insect damage throughout, feet with wear and paint loss, likely not original to case, pulls also not original, small scattered repairs to the molding, not walnut, likely cherry or gum, is in three parts, and with scattered chips to doors and molding.
