Maple High Chest of Drawers, New England, c. 1740-60, upper section of five graduated drawers set into lower section of one long and three short drawers, above a valanced skirt joining cabriole legs, brasses appear original, old surface, (imperfections), ht. 71, lower case wd. 38 1/2, lower case dp. 20 3/4 in. Estimate $1,500-2,000 shrinkage cracks, thumbmolding patches and loss, crack to one leg, parts of brasses missing, one front pad foot with loss.
