Cane Identified to Lieutenant Colonel J. N. Duffy, 3rd New Jersey Volunteer Infantry Regiment, c. 1861-65, oak cane with an ivory handle, with a silver ferrule engraved "LT. COL. J.N. DUFFY/3RD N.J. INF.," and a brass ferrule on the base, overall lg. 34 1/2 in. Provenance: The collection of Nicholas A. Penachio. Estimate $200-400 In very good condition with very small shrinkage cracks on the handle.
