Dick Avedon" and Avedon : Photographs 1947 - 1977 (New York: Farrar, Strauss and Giroux, 1978) signed by Avedon in black marker to the front endpaper "For all Zappas, with love, Dick, April 1st, 93" just months before Frank's passing. Also includes a two-page note written in black ink on New Yorker magazine stationery "Dear Frank and Gail, Jean Renoir once said to me 'It's not what's said - but the feelings that cross the room' I can't say it any better than that.
