A copy of The Penguin John Lennon (England: Penguin Books, 1965) signed by Lennon in black marker on the frontis "To Frank, with love from John, June 71. " Together with a copy of Grapefruit by Yoko Ono (London: Sphere Books, 1971) signed by Ono in black marker to the front endpaper "To Frank, love & peace, Yoko, New York City, June '71." These books were presented to Zappa during the time he met with Lennon and Ono and played live with them on stage at the Fillmore East. Some of the recordings from this performance were released on the Lennon/Ono live album Some Time in New York City (Apple Records, 1972) and later on the Zappa album Playground Psychotics (Barking Pumpkin, 1992).
