France, early 20th century. A charming half-doll porcelain powder jar, vanity or trinket box, the female modeled holding silk flowers and wearing a ormolu filigree dress and skirt the covers the entire pink ground box top. The bottom box is blue ground porcelain. Signed underglaze blue "double Louis" centered with S and "SEVRES" underneath with traces of red writing. The gilt metal is stamped "FRANCE", "DEPOSE" and "S.D.G.D." ( "breveté sans garantie du gouvernement" - Patented Without Guarentee of the Government"). Approximate height 6.5".
