Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tall Case Clock, with dial marked "Isaac Brokaw Bridge Town" (New Jersey), 1800-10, the shaped hood with inlaid patera and book-end inlays above the glazed door, which encloses a painted dial and an eight-day weight-driven movement with seconds hand and calendar aperture over the waist door with serpentine top and elliptical inlay and oval and quarter-fan inlays on the lower case with similar embellishments above the bracket feet, refinished, (restored), ht. 94 1/2 in. Note: Isaac Brokaw (1746-1826) worked first in Elizabethtown and after 1788-89 in Bridgetown, New Jersey. He continued to use the old fashioned styles as he turned out about 125 tall clocks.
