Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tall Case Clock, New Jersey, c. 1810, the hood with molded swan's neck cresting terminating in brass rosettes, centering an inlaid shaped plinth topped by brass ball finials and flanking finials, above a glazed tombstone door enclosing a gilt and polychrome iron dial with seconds hand and calendar aperture and brass eight-day weight-driven movement, flanked by inlaid freestanding columns above the string inlaid waist with shaped door having central oval with an urn of flowers and quarter fans, with urn tablet below, on similarly inlaid base and cutout feet, refinished, (minor restoration), ht. 95 in. Provenance: This clock descended in the Terhune family of Bergen County, Connecticut.
