Late Victorian/Edwardian Rosewood Necessaire Box, early 20th century, rectangular, lid enclosing interior fitted with silver-plate-lidded jars, two stoppered jars, velvet-lidded wells, two bone-handled nail files, and a mother-of-pearl boot hook, the lid with crushed velvet panel enclosing mirror, base with spring-loaded drawer, ht. 6 3/4, wd. 12, dp. 8 3/4 in. Top with side to side crack through the middle, facilitating the loss of the oval plaque which was inset to center of top; contents appear complete and in very good condition otherwise.
