A trophy presented to Pelé on October 2, 1974, from Rádio Bandeirantes, in honor of his retirement from playing football in Brazil. In his last game on this date, Santos defeated Ponte Preta 2-0. The metal trophy features a Bandeirante [translation: one who carries the flag], one of a group of 17th-century Portuguese settlers and fortune hunters in Brazil, most of them from the São Paulo region.
