Tassie Wax/Glass Portrait Plaque of Admiral Duncan, England, c. 1797, the white tinted portrait with inscribed signature and title under truncation, later mounted to glass and set in an turned hardwood frame, over lg. 6 3/4 in. Overall very good condition with no cracks, chips or restorations. Unfortunately the way the back of the plaque is mounted, we have no access to help determine whether the portrait is either wax or glass.
