A trophy presented to Pelé on December 9, 1973, when Santos FC and Palmeiras played to a 1-1 draw in the Campeonato Brasileiro in Morumbi Stadium in São Paulo, Brazil. The metal trophy features a Bandeirante [translation: one who carries the flag], one of a group of 17th-century Portuguese settlers and fortune hunters in Brazil, most of them from the São Paulo region.
