A plaque presented to Pelé on April 9, 1978, by the Los Angeles Aztecs of the North American Soccer League proclaiming the day "Pelé Appreciation Day at the Rose Bowl Los Angeles," in appreciation for all he has done to advance soccer in the United States. The plaque also deems Pelé "The Greatest Soccer Player In The World." The plaque was originally affixed to a trophy and has since been removed.
