CRANES AT SUNSET Dido (Louis Muller & Cie, Bienne), case no. 386960. Made circa 1890. Fine and elegant, 14K gold and painted on enamel, lady’s keyless pendant watch. Four-body, engraved bezel, band and borders, the back cover decorated with a painted on enamel scene of two cranes in a marshland against an opalescent sunset sky. Hinged gilt-metal cuvette. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer gilt dot minute divisions. Gold spade hands. 10 ½‘‘‘, matte gilt, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Movement signed Dido. DiaM. 27 mm.
