Hanhart a Vienne, circa 1830. Fine and rare gold and enamel form watch designed as a mandolin, in original fitted leather box. Double body, the ribbed back decorated with alternated sectors of white enamel and panels engraved with foliage and trophies against an azure champleve enamelled ground, white enamelled sound board with leaf decoration azure on the border of the simulated sound hole, azure and black enamelled key board with wire strings, chain suspension. Gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass threearm balance with flat spring and regulator. Continental gilt brass cock. Signed on the back plate. Dim. 66 x 30 mm. Notes Extremely fine example of a watch in form of mandolin, in a virtually new condition, protected by the original fitted box.
