Courvoisier Freres, Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 40110, circa 1815. Fine 18K gold quarter repeating watch with decorated dial. Three body, Empire, polished with reeded band. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. Gold with Breguet numerals on white enamel cartouches, blue enamel outer minute ring, the centre painted with a scene depicting a mother and her child. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Signed on the back plate. Diam. 54 mm.
