Farewell to the BelovedUnsigned, Geneva, No. 1829, made for the Chinese market circa 1830, case attributed to Frères Oltramare, No. 5219.Very fine and rare 18K gold and painted on enamel pearl-set center seconds musical hour-striking and repeating watch, with quarter-repeating on gongs. Gold, champlevé Roman numerals, outer minute track, acanthus engraved decoration between the numerals, engine-turned center and outermost. Blued steel "serpentine" hands. Notes This is an excellent example of Swiss workmanship for the Chinese market. The watch is in almost mint condition.
