Family of Musicians Just & Son, London, No. 2197, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1825. Very fine rare 18K gold and painted on enamel pearl-set center-seconds watch with duplex escapement. Three-body, “Empire”, back finely painted on enamel with a family of traveling musicians enjoying the countryside, band engraved with repeated pattern, pearl-set bezels, bow and pendant. White enamel, radial Roman hours, outer minute and second divisions, Arabic fifteen minutes/seconds. Gold “spoon” hands.
