A black lacquered bombe form commode, the top comprising rosso levanto carved marble with serpentine front and cyma curve molded edges, surmounting a serpentine drawer facade with two drawers lined in oak, decorated with applied rocaille gilt brass mounts and drawer pulls and gold leaf painted chinoiserie landscapes over a shaped apron, the shaped sides with conforming gold leaf painted scenes and gilt brass mounts, resting on four legs with gilt brass trim terminating in gilt brass scrolling acanthus sabots.
