John Wyke Silver Pair Case Watch, Liverpool, No. 2898, c. 1763-64, the case with Chester hallmarks, white porcelain Roman numeral dial with blued steel beetle and poker hands, chain fusee, verge-escapement, full plate movement signed Jn. Wyke/Liverpool/2898 on a silver name boss, pierced balance cock with shell and pierced foot at the base, pierced silver lattice around the blued regulator dial with gilt Roman numerals and squared balaster pillars, dia. 48 mm. Minor hairlines on dial, hands are probably appropriate replacements, movement clean and in excellent condtion.
