John Richardson Elmwood Table Clock, London, c. 1765, the case with pierced wood sound frets backed with fabric, carrying handle and pad feet, 6-in. composite brass dial engraved on the silvered Roman numeral chapter ring John Richardson , London , matted center with mock pendulum and date apertures, cast spandrels, and Strike-Silent in the arch, eight-day fusee movement with fully engraved backplate, rack strike, verge escapement, attachment brackets and bell, ht. 17 in. Some veneer cracking on top and around side sound frets. Movement may need cleaning and lubrication. Loose molding with the clock. Movement and case appear to be original. Ht is 17 in. with handle up.
