John Taylor Mahogany Table Clock, London, c. 1765, the composite brass dial with engraved recessed maker's boss marked John Taylor, London , silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, alarm disc at the center with Arabic numerals, matted center, Strike-Silent in the arch and applied cast brass spandrels, the case with bell top, applied brass mounts, side sound vents and carrying handles, eight-day time and strike movement with fully engraved back plate, verge escapement, rack and snail strike, pull cord alarm mechanism, hour repeat on command and short bob pendulum, ht. 21 in. Clock is in "parlor ready" condition with the movement running and functioning well, case with mellow patina, dial cleaned and re-silvered.
