Frederick Landseer Maur Griggs (British, 1876-1938) Cockayne, 1936-1937, edition of 30, fourth state of six (Comstock, 55iv). Signed "F.L. Griggs" in pencil l.r., initialed within the plate, annotated along lower edge and on mat. Etching on heavy laid paper, plate size 8 1/8 x 10 3/4 in. (20.5 x 27.0 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Margins over 3/4 inches with deckled edges to two sides, several fox marks, scattered pale staining, soiling.
