Large and Rare Doulton Lambeth Salt-glaze Stoneware Figure of a Monkey, c. 1885, modeled and signed by George Tinworth with his monogram to the base, the pale green and buff glazed figure seated on his haunches and peering upward with an inquisitive air, on a brown glazed oval base, ht. 20 1/2 in. Base with chipping underneath; 1 3/4 in. chip to outside of base; firing line to arm near elbow; all else very good throughout.
