Large and Elaborate Doulton Lambeth Salt-glaze Stoneware Ewer, c. 1895, by Mark V. Marshall and an unrecorded assistant, numbered 601 and impressed Art Union of London Copyright, with shaped lip and blue glazed neck, with a finely modeled handle composed of acanthus scrolls lifting from the shoulder and ending in busts, the base of the handle with a black glazed Moorish mustachioed man wearing a Keffiyeh, globular body with gilt scrolls and low relief designs of foliate trails, ht. 11 1/8 in. Very good condition throughout with no cracks, chips or restorations.
