English Porcelain Tea and Coffee Service, England, c. 1800, gilt decorated cobalt ground borders with polychrome enamel painted panels of birds and flowers, including a covered teapot, lg. 10 1/2 in.; cream jug, ht. 4 1/2 in.; covered sugar bowl, dia. 6 1/4 in.; waste bowl, dia. 6 3/4 in.; two cake plates, dia. 8 3/4 in.; eight coffee cups; twelve tea cups; twelve saucers; painted 759 mark. Provenance: Believed to have been presented to the Mayor of Bath, c. 1815. Some staining; scattered gilt wear to cups and saucers.
