George III Silver Sugar Basket, London, 1792, Henry Chawner, maker, boat shaped, with ogee shaping to ends, reeded rims and swing handle, on conforming foot, bright cut engraved with band of scrolling flower vine, and with drapery-topped monogrammed shields, ht. of body 4 3/8 in., approx. 8 troy oz. wear to bright cutting of cartouches to sides. wear/removal of monogram within shield (still slightly visible). handle comes off of side pegs if compressed above rim of body. light ding to one side just below cartouche.
