Louis XVI Ormolu Mounted Mahogany Jardiniere Table, c. 1785, stamped B. Molitor, with removable mahogany top opening to a removable green painted tin jardiniere, the rectangular case mounted with entwined husks and flowerheads, the circular stop fluted legs inset with foliate swags, ht. 29 1/2, wd. 34, dp. 14 1/2 in. Note: Bernard Molitor became a master cabinetmaker in 1787. Very clean surface overall, good timber, lacking handle to one side, age typical minor defects.
