Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) La Pique I, 1959, edition of 50 (Bloch, 898). Signed "Picasso" in pencil l.r., numbered "33/50" in pencil l.l., dated within the matrix. Lithograph on cream Arches paper with watermark, image size 17 x 22 in. (43.2 x 55.8 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Deckled edges with minor nicks, tear to left edge (less than 1/2 inch), subtle toning, hinging residue to the reverse. The sheet measures 19 3/4 x 26 inches, it is subtly toned, and has gentle mat burn. There are small creases along the lower edge. There is paper tape and residue to the reverse near the edges. There is an extremely subtle, unpressed vertical crease to the center.
