Russian Handpainted Porcelain Cabinet Plate, c. 1922, hand painted with a javelin thrower amidst allegorical motifs, the rim with cyrillic motto and date 1922, dia. 9 1/2 in. approx. 1" chip to underside of rim (not visible from front). fine black painted mark/inscription to underside partially rubbed. underside bearing blue over painted hammer & sickle mark set below a crenellated demilune, and a black painted triangle (the triangle likely blacking out another mark).
