George Graham, London, No. 795, circa 1740. Very rare and fine 20 ct gold pair cased, quarter repeating watch. Double body, bassine, pierced and engraved with mask and foliage. Contemporary outer. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. GiIt brass dust-cap. Hinged giIt brass full plate with column pillars, fusee with chain, early cylinder escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flac balance spring, English gilt brass cock with diamonc end-stone. Repeating on a belle by depressing the pendant. Signed on the dust-cap and back plate. In very good condition. Iliam d7 mm _ Notes Very fine and rare example of an early Graham repeating watch with cylinder escapement.
