Joseph Yeager, publisher (Philadelphia, Early 19th Century) Battle of New Orleans and Death of Major General Packenham on the 8th of January 1815. Drawn by William West, engraved by Joseph Yeager, c. 1816, identified in inscriptions. Engraving with hand-coloring, first state, sheet size 16 x 19 7/8 in., in a later molded wood frame. Condition: Four small margin tears, mat stain. Unobtrusive 1/8 in. small tear in sky u.c., edge tears are about 1/8-3/4 in., one is visible above mat about 1/2 in. at l.l under inscriptions.
