Portuguese Silver Tea Tray, Oporto, c. 1840s, rectangular with rounded corners, applied with a pierce-cast gallery decorated with C-scrolls enclosing hounds and butting goats, interior engraved with central monogrammed cartouche within C-scroll and flowerhead border, with scroll and flowerhead-cast handles, on acanthus feet pierced with a chevron, wd. to handles 25 1/8, wd. 15 1/2 in., approx. 129 troy oz. overall minor age typical wear. one corner of surface of tray showing green corrosion from contact with dirt/salt.
