Wedgwood and Bentley Solid Agate Vase and Cover, England, 18th century, brown slip finial, handles, laurel border and drapery swags to a mottled slip body, candle holder finial, set on a black basalt plinth, impressed lozenge mark, ht. 16 1/4 in. Literature: Illustrated in Wedgwood I by R. Reilly, plate C75. Cover: heavily restored. Vase: two chips to the leaves of the laurel border; socle heavily restored; slight nicks to edges of plinth.
