Framed Group of Four Wedgwood and Bentley Solid Blue Jasper Plaques, England, 18th century, each oval with applied white classical figure of a Muse in relief to a blue wash, two titled Calliope and Euterpe , impressed marks, lg. 6 3/4; mounted in a giltwood frame, 14 1/2 x 31 1/4 in. Literature: Illustrated in Wedgwood I by R. Reilly, plate 857. Note: Accompanying the frame is a label stating "Exhibited at the Loan Collection of the Works of Josiah Wedgwood at Liverpool Art Club February 1879, catalogue p. 77 no. 644." Left most plaque broken in half and simply glued. By sight in very good condition throughout. Not examined out of frame.
