Attributed to William Groombridge (British, 1748-1811) In the Churchyard by the River under the Light of the Moon Unsigned, identified on a presentation plaque. Oil on canvas, 20 x 36 1/2 in. (50.8 x 92.5 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, scattered retouch, craquelure. The lining is an old glue (or similar) lining. The retouch is to a long, thin vertical tear on the right side, plus scattered strokes and dashes throughout the composition. The work might benefir from cleaning.
