Connecticut Chippendale mahogany low chest, ca. 1775 , with a thumbmolded top over a case with 4 graduated drawers with cockbeaded dividers, supported by bold ogee feet flanking a central shell carved drop, 32 1/2" h., 36 1/2" w.(appear to retain original Chippendale plate brass). Provenance - Descended in the Peirce-Nichols family of Salem, Massachusetts to the current owner.
