Connecticut Chippendale cherry tall chest, ca. 1770 , in 2 parts, the upper section with a bonnet top with flame finials above a facia with compass star inlays, over a fan carved and herringbone inlaid center drawer flanked by 2 small drawers over 4 long drawers, all with compass point inlaid corners and flanked by fluted stiles, resting on a base with 1 long drawer over a central fan carved drawer flanked by 2 short drawers, supported by cabriole legs with scale carved knees and voluted knee returns terminating in ball and claw feet, 84" h., 43 3/4" w.(altered).
