Queen Anne Maple Fan-carved High Chest of Drawers, New Hampshire, last half 18th century, replaced brasses, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 72 3/4, wd. 37, dp. 19 1/2 in. Note: Ink inscription "Joseph Gifford." small patch to cornice molding at right front; diagonal patch at front left corner of mid molding; at some point the top was separated from the base - a board has been removed that was nailed to the top of the vase; shrinkage cracks on sides of top and bottom sections.
