Provenance: By descent in the artist's family to the Brockton Art Museum/Fuller Memorial (Gift of the artist's husband, Dr. Robert Barstow), Brockton, Massachusetts, to the New Britain Museum of American Art. Bearing Huse Inventory number 2313 from Brockton Art Museum inventory of the estate of Marion Huse. Minor craquelure to u.r., r.c., and to ship. Signature clear. Paint loss mainly restricted to edges and to l.l. near bow of ship. Paint seems stable, no visible inpainting under blacklight. Old tack holes to margins.
