Auguste Edouart (1789-1861) Framed Silhouette Portrait of a Boy Riding a Hobby Horse, signed "Aug'n Edouart, fecit 1843 Philadelphia" l. l., the boy identified in an inscription on the back: "Theodore H. Morris age 3," full-length cut and pasted figure of the boy riding and waving a riding crop in one hand, highlighted with faint white details, (minor toning, foxing, and light stains), 10 1/4 x 7 3/8 in. Light moisture stain lower center about 1 1/4 x 1/2 in.
