Cobalt Decorated Stoneware Flowerpot and Crock, America, mid-19th century, a two-gallon flowerpot with integral saucer decorated with a cobalt bird perched on a branch; an ovoid large mouth crock with applied lug handles with cobalt daubed terminals, reeded band on rim and shoulder, the front decorated with a cobalt blue flowering potted plant, (minor imperfections), ht. 9 1/2, 14 in., respectively. flower pot- 2 1/2 in. lg. curved crack on saucer edge,possibly a repair but don't see evidence of adhesive. crock- 2 1/4 x 1/2 in. shallow rim chip , two chips and rough surface from extra stoneware blobs on base edge.
